HOW
TO SEND YOUR RESUME TO US |
| Do you think you would like to work for A-Star Staffing, or for
one of the great San Diego companies we represent? If so, send us a resume. It
doesn't need to be fancy, but it does need to include information about your work
experience and background (For now, don't worry if your resume isn't
polished. We'll give you some tips on how to make it more
presentable, if necessary).
There was a time when we would respond
personally to each and every resume received. Thanks to the Internet and
the hundreds of resumes that it provides each week, we can now only
respond to 'qualified' resumes. If your resume indicates that your skills and background are suited for the types of
positions we offer, and you're living in the San Diego area, we'll call you to schedule an appointment. When you arrive,
we'll ask you to complete an Application for Employment and some other forms. We may
ask you to take a clerical test, typing test or software specific test such as Microsoft
Word or WordPerfect (not all applicants are required to test). When the paperwork is
complete, we'll meet with you to discuss your needs and to see how we might help you in
your search for employment. |

Please read
if you intend to send an attachment:
We have received our fair share of computer viruses. Most of them are macro viruses
that arrive in e-mail attachments. Our policy is to not open e-mail attachments, so
please do not send your resume as an attachment, rather, copy the resume from your word
processor and then paste it directly into the body of your e-mail. It may not look
quite as pretty (some of the formatting may be lost) but that's OK, for the moment we just
need to know as much as we can about you. You can bring us a pretty copy when you
arrive for your interview.
